Why do you choose to volunteer as a HBN board member?  What has always been important to me is serving and giving back.  I firmly believe we have some amazing people in Hawkes Bay and netball provides a special place for people to connect and create a sense of belonging. My hope is that I can contribute in a way as part of a team of board members, to serve our community with not only heart and commitment but also be aspirational.

Why do you choose to volunteer as a HBN board member?  The reasons I have accepted the invitation to contribute to the board are firstly being asked, that in itself says a lot about the intent of an organisation.  Secondly the phase of organisational maturity is such that I believe I can add value.  Finally, I have always known that netball has huge opportunity and with good governance it can begin to realise how much can be achieved.

Why do you choose to volunteer as a HBN board member? I have two young children and a husband who enjoys his rugby league. I volunteer on the board to be involved in the local community and have an interest in governance. I originally hail from Christchurch and have always enjoyed playing netball mainly socially. I love my work on the Hawke's Bay Netball board as it keeps me involved with netball since I can't commit to playing in this busy season of working motherhood.

Why do you choose to volunteer as a HBN board member?  I'm a netball fanatic who believes the sport is a fantastic way for community and whānau to come together while helping tamariki and rangatahi develop key life skills like teamwork, competitiveness, and strategic thinking. Having been involved in netball at various forms throughout my life, I’m excited to now have the opportunity to contribute at a governance level. I look forward to bringing my skills in people management, stake-holder engagement, leadership, and health and safety to help grow the sport and support its positive impact on the community.

Why do you choose to volunteer as a HBN board member?  Netball has been a huge part of mine and my family's life, having played for many years, coached, supported and recently umpired.  I was given an opportunity to join the Board which has been a very new experience for me.  Giving back to the sport that has taken me all over the country and overseas was important to me, however that may have looked.  I have thoroughly enjoyed my short time on the board and look forward to continuing to support the Operations team, Board team and Members of the HB Netball to continue to grow the sport we all love!
