Due to the uncertainty surrounding the scale of the COVID-19 situation and the timescales involved to ensure that all teams, Schools, Clubs and community members are aware and understand the protocols under level 2, we have made the decision to CANCEL Netball on Saturday. This will include Junior Secondary, Senior Secondary, HB Club & Junior Netball in Central Hawke’s Bay.

We hope the Netball Community understands the rationale to make an early call on this weekend’s netball to allow clarity for everyone.

Hawke’s Bay Netball does have a COVID-19 plan in place for operating Netball under Level 2, and we are currently working through actions within this plan to modify operations etc. From tomorrow we will start our communications directly with Clubs & Schools around our Event & Activity Health and Safety Plan.

Our intention is to continue with as many competitions from next week as we can through the implementation of our plan (level 2) and will adapt inline with the further information that is expected from Netball New Zealand and Government on Friday. (for the avoidance of doubt any move to alert level 3 will result in the cancellation of all Netball)
